ISOLATING PAD

The isolating clip (also called I-Clip) is an individual pipe support clip designed to be installed on the inside diameter of a pipe saddle. The clips are mechanically held in place by the weight of the pipe and of an adhesive strip, so they can be retrofitted easily along existing pipe runs.

Half round isolating pad is available in 5 ft. (1.5 m) or 10 ft. (3 m) lengths or pre-cut-and-drilled for any standard pipe U-bolt. This isolating pad is a durable thermoplastic, extruded and then cut into a half round shape. It is the key component in all of pipe supports. There are three different diameter sizes (0.75”, 1” and 1.5”) which can be drill the holes and cut as per size of U-bolt.
Advantage:
- The clip’s half-round shape minimizes contact between the pipe and the support, which keeps water from being trapped against the pipe and forming corrosion.
- The isolating Clip also provides an electrically isolated stand-off between pipe and supporting beam or saddle clamp. This allows for easy maintenance and inspection while preventing galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals of pipes and supports.
- The clip has excellent compressive strength and a very low friction coefficient, which ensures reliable service for the life of the pipe.
